At Vacation Bible School (VBS), we believe children’s lives are meant to be aimed purposefully toward truth and life in Jesus Christ. Through Bible stories, engaging discussions, songs, crafts, and science experiments, children are invited to know God, trust His Word, and grow in faith. Rooted in Reformed theology, our program is designed to lead every child to Christ and equip them with God’s truth to stand firm amid the challenges of living in a secular world.

Our dedicated team of teachers and leaders creates a safe, intergenerational space where children can learn, ask questions, and build relationships that nurture their spiritual growth. VBS offers a joyful and gospel-centred holiday experience to help children treasure Christ and follow Him all their days.

In my time at VBS I have enjoyed making new friends and Assemblies. I really like that we got to make a 3D treasure chest and 3D palm tree for craft. My favourite science experiment was the one with the lemon juice. I really like my group leaders. I learnt that God is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. God is all knowing and all powerful. In my group we have discussed a lot and we dived deeper in to the Bible lesson. I have loved my time at VBS!

During VBS 2024, we learned about the awesomeness of the Lord. These included multiple attributes, which are Greatness, Almighty, Ruler, Emmanuel, and Trust. When attending these three days of worship, I enjoyed the vast opportunities of God’s Word, simultaneously learning more about new people through the games and group discussions. This experience overall was an amazing opportunity to find out more about God, also while having memorable moments.

Wonder Junction VBS — Everything you need to know

VBS is a special children's program that churches run during school holidays. Our VBS runs for 3 days at each location. During VBS, children learn stories from the Bible in a fun and engaging way.

The program includes:

  • Singing songs
  • Games and group activities
  • Crafts
  • Science
  • Bible stories and lessons
  • Drama or skits

Even though it is called a "school", it does not feel like a normal school class. It is more like a holiday camp with fun activities and teaching mixed together.

This VBS is held under IREC Sydney — International Reformed Evangelical Church Sydney.

Children from Kindy to Year 6 are welcome to join our VBS.

You are welcome to drop off your children and leave. There is no requirement for parents to stay during the event.

Yes. We will only provide a light snack. Please bring a nut-free lunch for your child.

The program starts at 9:00am (Drop off time is 8:30–9:00am) until 3:30pm (Pick up time is 3:30–4:00pm).

Please note: on Day 3, the program will finish at 3:45pm (Pick up time is 3:45–4:00pm).

The latest pickup time is 4:00 PM. Please note that there will be no supervision after 4:00 PM.

Yes! We like to close VBS with a special concert for all the kids, parents, family, and friends to enjoy. We'll send out details to RSVP closer to the date.

The concert happens on Day 3 and is in collaboration with Cantate Deo Youth Orchestra.

The main entrance is located at 556 Botany Road, Alexandria. Please note that Botany Road operates as a clearway during morning hours, so parking is restricted at that time.

For brief drop-offs, you may use the Shell Reddy Express area if stopping momentarily. For longer or more secure parking, free street parking is available on Beaconsfield Street, Ralph Street, and Shirley Street.

📍 Castle Hill

There is ample free parking available at the venue. Additional free street parking can be found along Britannia Road and Bounty Avenue, located directly across from the venue.
